Sonipat, Haryana – In a major land grabbing fraud case, the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Rohtak has arrested another accused, Rajesh, son of Rammehar. The arrest was made on August 19, 2025, based on sufficient evidence. Rajesh has been taken on a two-day police remand, during which he revealed the involvement of other individuals in the case.

This case is linked to approximately 12 acres of disputed land in Sultanpur village, Sonipat. During earlier interrogations, accused Rajesh Jain confessed that he had prepared fake documents in collaboration with Rajesh, son of Rammehar. Using these forged documents, he impersonated Madan Mohan (son of Het Ram) and, with the connivance of revenue officials, managed to get mutation entry number 4571 recorded in the revenue records. Rajesh Jain even used these forged documents in court to falsely establish his ownership claim.

The case traces back to 1966, when the original owner Madan Mohan purchased the land. After his death in 1994, the property was duly registered under the names of his wife and son. However, in 2021, an inquiry revealed that several individuals had fraudulently registered false mutations by posing as the rightful owners.

So far, 11 accused have been arrested in connection with this land fraud. Along with Rajesh (son of Rammehar) and Rajesh Jain, the other accused include Naresh Kumar, Hoshiar Singh, Gurbaal, Surender, Pritam, Pravesh Kumar, Jyana Devi, Tara Chand, and Vijay Kumar. Charge sheets have already been filed in court against nine of them.
